Haru Haru M/V Reaction Video 🕺🏼🌟

The group of Brandon, Harrison, and Andrew reacted to the iconic music video for Big Bang’s “Haru Haru.” It was a great experience to be able to come together with different people and discuss what we viewed in the music video. One can definitely learn a lot in group settings as different perspectives, observations, and experiences are shared which all add to major key takeaways. It was evident that we all focused and analyzed different aspects of the visuals and music which only amplified our reactions as one person would comment on something that the other two did not particularly notice in the first watch. Having three different vantage points allowed for our reaction to have broader ideas as we saw different parts of the relationship between the audio and the visual. The conversations we also had were excellent, and it was great how we had several opportunities to connect what we witnessed in the music video and the lyrics back to concepts we have discussed at length during class. It worked to our advantage in our reaction that some of us were familiar with Korean as it added depth to our conversation to be able to analyze some of the lyrics on the spot.

Recording a group reaction video through the Zoom software was also super simple and flowed well. It was great to see that the Zoom functions worked smoothly as it always can be a bit awkward, and the ability to still connect with people safely is always great. To conclude, a group reaction video was a worth-wild experience as there is less pressure to force “reactions” from yourself when doing a project like this. Being able to bounce off of the conversation based on other people’s thoughts only increases the quality of the work and is certainly more enjoyable.
